The wooden base holds the grinding mechanism made in France and is covered with black Aubrac cowhide (grey for salt). The handle is made of real cow horn from the Aubrac region. As the horns are of natural origin, their appearance (color, size, shape) will probably vary from one object to another; therefore, the mills shown are not binding in this respect.
